Wonderful viva !!

The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear the word lab exams is the viva! I should say I ve experienced the best of the vivas till now... Here I list those that I would never forget...

It was my 3rd sem data structures lab. The guy who took viva, i should say, had an excellent (bahh!) logic for the way he was conducting it. He called three of us to viva. We went and took our places in front of him, all tensed. He pointed to the guy to my right and he said 'ok, what do you know about stack? Tell me..' and the guy started.. After a minute or so, he turned at me and he said 'tell me about queue' while the guy to my right was still speaking. Its a natural reflex for a human being to stop talking when the listener turns to another person. That s what my frnd did.. as I began speaking. This lecturer all of a sudden turned at that guy and started blasting him for having stopped!! He wanted both of us to speak simultaneously.. And he didn t stop there. He asked another guy to speak about linked list and all the three of us were speaking simultaneously !!! Anddd....the lecturer was speaking to somebody else over the phone !!! He says this is how our mental stability can be tested !!

Now, about my 7th sem viva. A lecturer gave a binary sequence and asked a guy 'what does this sequence suffer from..bit error or burst error?'. The guy to whom this question was put did nt know the answer.. He said 'Ma'am, I don t know the answer. But, i think its burst error because bit error is too simple a question to ask and if your asking me this in viva, i has to burst error' LOL !!! What a logic !! Great !!

ps : I had my last lab exam of my engineering career today..
