Nice words!

I was all of a sudden reminded of these words sent by one of my cousins, through a greeting card. It's some 5-6 years now and I still remember these sentences... Here, I quote them for you...

Always remember,
the hills ahead
are never as steep,
as they seem
so with Faith in your heart
start upward and climb
till you reach yoour dream....
for Faith
is the mover of mountains -
There's nothing
you cannot achieve
if you have
the Courage to try it
and then the Faith
to Believe...

Results out !

I not sure if I m through... But, as expected I got blasted in my music class again. I dunno if this itself is her teaching style.. Again she says in her typical tamil accent, "nee saryave padurdilleye. Innikkavadhu paaduviyaa" [You don t sing properly at all. Will you sing correctly atleast today]. I was almost in tears when I heard her say that. I know I m not a good singer. But, I don t think I m that terrific! I m not sure what s going to happen of me at this rate. I ve almost forgotten all that I had learnt! Anyways, she is a really good teacher and a good teacher is one who drills you until you get perfect. I hope the days following are better.... Hope I get back to form.

2nd innings

The 2nd innings for the hunt for my new music has begun. Well, a neighbour of mine found a teacher in the next lane(where her son learns music). I was almost prepared to join there. But, the confusion began just the night previous to the day I had planned to join. The kid gave a complete description about his teacher s teaching style, which i thought it wouldn t suit me. So, I ran back to Deepika. See gave me her music teacher s address. I couldn t wait even for a minute after that. I immediately went to her place, all excited.

She asked me how much I had learnt and told me to sing. I sang a line... and to my shock she said, "What are you singing !!! It s completely wrong. Not even one swara is right... If your singing like this how can I teach you ?!". I m not sure if I was that teriffic. But, I feel a true teacher is one who tells you outright where you stand. The line she said just pricked me from inside. I really sat down and practiced for an hour. She has asked me to practice and sing tomorrow. It s going to be the D-Day. If I m singing well, I m in. Else...

Oh! pls... I want to learn from you ma'am. Do accept me as your student....

Mukthi7.04

This was one of the best times of my life. It was fun. It was knowledgeable. It was the first time I worked with vrlinug.

I was completely overwhelmed at the profound knowledge of each and every one in the team. It was an excellent oppurtunity for me to learn so many new things. That was the first time I realised how dumb I was. I realised I had to wake up, there was so much for me too learn. I was asked to work with Keerthi and Poornima in designing the website. Keerthi had decided on using ajax. 'But, ajax !! What was it ?!' was my first question... I knew very basics of html and hadn t even heard of a thing called ajax. That was the first technique I had to learn.. I m not sure if I can say I learnt it. But well, I alteast got to know there was such a thing! Keerthi had to put up with our ignorance and some how work with us! [Hatt s off to his patience]

Then Poornima all of a sudden came up with an idea of giving a talk on weka. Whoa! That would be the first time I would be going on stage.. I mean to speak..[ Something other than singing]... We then spoke to Srichand and he was really happy and encouraging....[ Thanks dude! ]..He is one of the biggest brain you could ever meet. I m honoured that I know him. Man! I wonder how he remembers those hoards of computer jargon... uff ! I m shocked...

Yey, I can never forget to mention Srivatsa.. Flamboyant personality, amazing patience, very energetic and enthusiastic guy. He never says no to anything you ask. I could say hadn t it been for vatsa, dunno what would have happened to mukthi.. An excellent organiser. Perphaps, the best I have met.
Not to forget, Anusree, Nikhil, Anuj, Aditi and others... who made me realise I was sleeping all these days... Mukthi was a wake up call I should say....

The mukthi team...

Weirdo Dreams

I have had a dozen of weird dreams and fantasies. I m not sure if its the child in me or the ignorance in me that makes me dream about all these. Here are a few:

Its an age old dream. I ve never been to a village. I ve seen them only on the television. The beauty of the green plants, the paddy fields with coconut trees lined up as though they were the fence and all.... But, I was more attracted towards bullock carts... Wow! I almost instantaneously liked it.. A really nice means of transport i should say! No pollution from those dangerous exhausts.[ But, really sad those poor creatures are made to work like that...] But, it s fun to watch their movement... Hope to find a day when I get a chance to travel in it, if not drive... [ My dad promised me that he would take me in a bullock cart last hols.. He did nt :( ]

Another weirdest of the weird dreams is to have a pet animal.. Hey, wait. Having a pet animal is not a weird dream! But, which animal did I want to keep at home ?!! I have two answers for this.. One, I badly wanted to have a tortoise.. Whoa! I have absolutely no idea why I wanted to raise a tortoise.. ! But, my mum rejected it. She said some old traditions and did nt let me get one.... Second was a monkey... [ I can see your eyes roll in surprise!! ] lol !! I told this to mom and this is what she repiled 'Ondhu monkey saakode kashta agogbittide, idralli innodhu monkey naa...' [Raising one monkey itself has become a big task, on top of it, one more monkey...!!! ] :( :(

I had always wanted to accomplish these but never found an opportunity to. But, I m sure I'll find a day when they come true...
